Cisco (News - Alert) recently made use of its Cisco Unified Computing System to unravel a whole new suite of solutions for the SAP HANA platform. With this, customers of SAP (News - Alert) HANA can now perform real-time data analytics and data warehousing in a matter of seconds.
The Cisco Unified Computing System considerably simplifies conventional architectures, and decreases the number of devices companies must buy, install and maintain to enjoy unified communications.
Along with the ability to support conventional OS and application stacks in physical environments, Cisco UCS provides end-to-end optimization for virtualized environments.

The new Cisco solution also provides various other advantages such as multisite disaster tolerance; extra-small, small and medium-sized rack-mount solutions; scale-out blade server solutions; and the option to select either EMC (News - Alert) or NetApp storage in a scale-out solution for SAP HANA; SAP IT Process Automation.
“As data continues to grow exponentially, the ability to deliver real-time business intelligence is helping customers move more quickly to address issues and capture opportunities,” stated Satinder Sethi, vice president of Cisco. “Together SAP HANA and Cisco UCS are delivering a winning combination of innovative technologies to reduce operational costs and enhance application performance."
