Syclo and ServicePower Announce Partnership, Joint Release of New SMART Schedule Product

Jan 13, 2011 ( via COMTEX) -- Syclo, a market leader in enterprise mobile software, and UK-based ServicePower Technologies, a leading provider of outsourcing and field management solutions, have agreed to a partnership which will integrate Syclo's next generation version of SMART Schedule with ServicePower's sophisticated scheduling technology. The agreement brings together Syclo's proven experience in mobile applications for enterprise asset management (EAM) solutions and ServicePower's scheduling expertise for field service industries.

The two companies worked together for the first time to deploy the new SMART Schedule to optimize scheduling activities for an east coast gas utility servicing 2,500 square miles and 1.2 million people.. Their field service staff uses the mobile solution to perform remote meter installations, main extensions and replacements, leak repairs, compliance and survey work. Their paper-based work orders were in excess of 140,000 per year and we were also undergoing a complete work management system overhaul, so it was critical for them to find a comprehensive, easy-to-deploy mobile solution they could trust. SMART Schedule was the perfect fit.

A key part of the SMART Schedule deployment is the seamless data exchange between the customer's current systems and utility workers out in the field. This allows the energy firm to track and schedule activities efficiently with handheld devices in real time. In addition, utilizing ServicePower's scheduling optimization technology, the latest software version of SMART Schedule provides GPS mapping, appointment booking and reporting features.
